Adam and I have been inseperable ever since our first kiss during the summer after graduating high school. We dated a few years and decided that it was time to find a home. It's perfect for us! A 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with a HUGE backyard for our girls...our 2 dogs Stella (mini doxie) and Gerty (lab). After returning from a 4 week collage course in Colorado, I missed all of my babies...our 2 dogs, Stella and Gerty, and of course Adam! Once I got home, Adam suggested that I greet the girls before heading into the house. As I did, I noticed that Stella had a new collar with a shiny pendant hanging from it. I picked her up and noticed it was the most beautiful ring I'd ever seen! Just then, Adam did it....he proposed! We were both crying from excitement and joy. We can't wait to start our life together!
Our wedding will be held outside in the Sunken Gardens at McKennan Park in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Saturday, October 18, 2008. The ceremony will be held at dusk with candels and soft lights illuminting the area. We will have a small wedding party made up of the bride's best friend and brother, as well as both of the groom's brothers. Our colors will be fall inspired with a mix of green, orange, red, and brown. The groom will have a chocolate brown tux with ivory shirt, tie and vest to compliment the bride in a handmade ivory gown. The bride's maid will wear a grass green mid length dress with a brown shall. The groom's men will also we wearing the chocolate brown tuxes, but will have an ivory shirt with a green tie and vest complimenting the bride's maid. The decorations will be fall inspired using pumpkins, gords, and sunfowers to dress up the garden. The wedding party will also use a mix of sunflowers, red, green, and orange florals.
Our reception will be held at the elegant CJ Callaways in Sioux Falls, South Dakota immediately following the ceremony. Once there, we'll dance all night to amazing music (motown, country, and R&B), eat great food, and have fun! Following the reception, Adam and I will get ready for our trip of a lifetime to the gorgeous Sandels Resort and Spa in St Lucia. We can't wait!
We'd like to express our sincere appreciation to EVERYONE involved in our special day. We are so blessed to have so many friends and family that love and support us. Thank you so much for making our wedding and honeymoon the event of a lifetime and something that we'll remember for the rest of our lives.
